Do you think that an assault on Iraq will be launched soon?
Hey all,
I saw this documentary on Iraq on CNN yesterday. It described the history of Iraq, and the Gulf War, and Saddam Hussein. There was a very, very obvious tone in the documentary, and I think that the US is planning to attack Iraq next. The US right now is building the right background and mentality needed for Americans to justify the fact that they will go to war, though the media. Did anyone see that documentary yesterday? What do you all think?

Iraq waz named as part of the "Axis of evil." So, yes. I think Iraq is the next target. I also think Iraq knows it is the next target and is preparing for war.

HEY I THINK IRAQ IS A TARGET BUT I DONT KNOW HOW REALLY PREPARED FOR WAR THEY COULD BE OTHER THAN NUKES! THEY DONT HAVE MANY PEOPLE AND THE ONES THEY DO HAVE ARE MOSTLY DRUGGIES!BUT YES I THINK THEY ARE PREPARING WITH NUKES WE GO TO THEM THEY MIGHT JUST COME TO US WITH THE SAME FORCE I THINK BUSH NEEDS TO BACK OFF THE AXIS OF EVIL THING AND START TRYING TO NEGOTIATE PEACE AND NOT PROCLAIM MORE WAR! `~~~~~AMBER~~~~~

They are not terribly prepared for war, but a nuclear bomb is all they need to hurt the US. That is why we have to act fast.
Yeah, I think Iraq is next. I agree though that other than nukes, the Iraqi military has nothing.
That said, I agree with Ambio102. Bush has made his point that America will bomb you til the cows come home. Now we need to promote this peace that the prez preaches so much. I say at least talk first. Get the fake promise from Saddam so at least when he goes against his words we have some grounds to show the world why we're bombing. Sounds stupid, but I think we can't just continue to bomb countries without an explanation. We would also need proof of terrorist activity done by Saddam or supported by him...unfortunately, right now we don't have a whole lot of proof and if we do, we would have to display some of it to the rest of the world to gain more support. I think that a grace period of peace is what is needed in the world right now; not the ending of bombing one country and the beginning of bombing another.

I also believe Iraq is next and I sure hope so. Saddam Hussein is such an evil man, I think the US should have taken care of him years ago. I read some of his biography, and he did so much unhumane things to his own people, like testing biological weapons on them and practically he has been starving them over his reign. The US, aong with the United Nations has provided the Iraqi people with food, so they won't starve. I think Saddam knows he is in a hole right now, and I promise you from reading his biography he has something in plan right now and I believe that the US must strike first. He's a very diabolical, evil, and smart man and shouldn't be taken lightly. I hope that he will be out of power within the next 3 years.
