Dear Board,
I'm not sure if this is a popular topic, but don't we all want to start our own business? One of the coolest fads around is teens owning million dollar corporations and actually running them better then older CEO's. Running your own business makes you independent and self-reliant. You make all the money yourself and you don't have to beg your parents for 5 bucks everyday. So over the summer I'm starting my own Event Planning Business with a few friends and we're attempting to do just that. To become independent teens making our own income, in our own way. If you have any questions on business just ask me, I'm like an expert.

lol, Josh... When I saw this thread on the boards I just knew you had started it. Congrats on your business and I hope you do well. Right now I live out on my own, hold a full time job, and am going to school. So I already am self dependant.

I plan to own my company in about 4 to 5 years. I'm working out all the kinks and will start a small magazine at the beginning of June. I just want to start a local reputation and then build, save my money, graduate from college, and then use the money I have saved to open my own publishing company so I can have the freedom of publishing my magazine myself and publishing others. My company will also be an independent film studio. Sounds like a lot, but I have most of the details etched out already. :)

That sounds real cool! I have all sorts of business plans and ideas that I have had since I was 13 years old. I'm hoping to actually implement one of my ideas into action this summer, which is my event planning business. Starting your own publishing company and magazine is an awesome idea. In the future I hope to make a huge corporation aimed at teens, such as dancing clubs, a clothing line, TV shows, restauraunts, etc.. I also have the plans worked out I just need the MONEY!! lol.
