Did anyone feel helpless druing the time when Guiliani was asking for help "rebuilding" New York? Helping out in any way possible?

I felt helpless because I'm not old enough to give blood (I'm 16) and I couldn't help at ground Zero. And to those in other states who couldn't help out. . . Well I was helpless. . .
