what do you think of him? why is he still hiding???
Why is he still hiding? I have no clue... One of my favorite political cartoons since 9/11 show a scene of a man looking at a newspaper wrack where the headline was something like, "America- A country living in fear.." and then the guy thinks to himself, "Us, in fear? We're not the ones hiding in a cave."
As for my thoughts on Bin Laden... There are so many of them... I don't like him. I know that doesn't explain alot, but to be very basic and blunt, I just don't like him. He hurt us- the WORLD. He has people believing that killing Americans is their way to Allah, which I think is a very very sad and disturbed use of a peaceful religion... He HAS kept himself hidden- He was man enough to send young pilots to their death, but not man enough to stand up and say, "here I am..".. I am so very angry with him- I have so much anger built up inside of me concerning him..
I think he's a coward. I think he is a monster.
and that is what *I* think about him......

When the attacks happen his name was the first one i thought of as the one who did this.
I also think he is a coward and he should be caught and exicuted for his doing in this.

all my thought s about bin laden is he is a scared guy who needs to turn himself in. he is a total loser. i hate him. he calles up the usa and says he didnt do it but he is happy it happend to us. i am sorry but he shouldnt be killed. he should be put in jail and rot. cause if he is killed. he will die in the name of his relign and go to heaven. if he dies of natural cause he will go to hell in the name of his relign.

I think that trying to justify killing innocent civilians in the name of Holy War is very disturbing. By training people to kill, you are only hurting humanity. How a man like that can have respect for himself after leaving many children orphans and a city in debris boggles me. I know that the issue over land is very complex and that I do not know all the details, but I think that planning furtively for years to disrupt the lives of people and peace to instill fear is beastly.
I think that we should give bin Laden a sex change and then drop him back in his own country. That's the ULTIMATE punishment...he'll see what's it's like to be a woman under his own system and no one will know it's him. OR, put him in jail and make him watch videos of all the people he killed during the attacks on America for the rest of his life.
No, but serously, sure killing him sounds like it's nothing compared to what he did to us, but I want him dead so I don't have to worry about it anymore. FInd and destroy him...
@Suzzie83
The only problem I have with the prison idea, is that while he is IN that prison (which he definately wouldn't remain in for long) he would be able to use OUR resources to plan other attacks- more widespread and worse then 9/11.
I don't want to see that happen.
As for him dying and then going heaven- I think there is a clause in the contract with God that says IF you do something under the guise of religion, that is truely something for yourself, that's not exactly kosher.. Allah, being a peaceful God, would not have seen blowing up Americans because Bin Laden doesn't them them, as a cause that his name should be associated with.
I don't know though- I'm not a theologian and I don't know the technicalities of all that.
I DO know though, that I do not want to spend any time paying for Bin Laden to live in a prison.

I think we are putting this Osama character too much into the spotlight. He is not worth it...
Why waste our time discussing his character? It is probably satisfying to him, personally, that he has become such a celebrity. I say, forget him and lets all just move on...
I feel as if the government is putting a lot of their time and effort in to Osama Bin Laden. I also think that they should keep worrying about him. But I don't think that they should advertise every move that they make the way they do, they don't know if Osama is watching. The reason that I feel this way is because I heard that there might have been a nuclear bomb threat and I am kinda worried. I also heard that Pakistan doesn't have that much technology, so that eases it a little bit.

Its sad when America cant find this man with all of this technology, but they can find somebodie's uncle and arrest him for tax fraud... And on top of that Osama is brain washing his followers to do as he please's. Osama is a weak man but as long as he has money, he's got the power. Thats the sad reality in this world, money is everything, and Osama has got the money. When we do catch him though, I wonder whats gonna happen to him?
You are very correct. The media said today that Osma has a heart disease and they might be able to get him then. It taken long enough its the 6th Anniverisery of September 11 2001 . I hope they find him soon. I wonder if the Government will put him on trail? My cousin is six months old today. He is a sick man . I wish we didn't have to go thru what were going though

I don't Know much about the guy. I know that 9/11 is horrible and I am sorry for all those who lost their lives but the hunt for Osama is just because Americans want to punish someone. Since all the hijackers are now dead, who are they going to get? Osama was trained by the U.S. and when certain things don't go the way that the FBI and CIA want, they get rid of that person. They don't need them. I am sorry for the victims but the American government tends to get the American citizens (who have done nothing wrong), involved in their warfares. America plays around with many countries and yet America doesn't think that crazy people are going to retaliate. I think that Osama bin Laden is just a cover for the American government and I also think that the American government should leave innocent people out of their careless behavior towards other nations.

The one really important thing to remember is that the US Government is not responsible for 9/11. Yes, it was in response to something unfavorable about our nation BUT the US has provided aide to many nations in the MIddle East includign Afg. and Osama Bin Laden is a coward. He sent others out to accomplish a job he wouln't do on his own. I pray for the families of the victims. In the end he will get what he deserves...
While I agree that Bin Laden HAS gotten a something of a 'celebrity' status, I don't think that just 'forgetting about him' and moving on would do us any good.
Do we just want to have someone to blame? Probably so. Everyone always wants that sort of closure.
Is eliminating a very influential person in terrorism a bad thing? I don't think so. It sends a message. Our resolve to get him, and anyone associated with him is sending a very very loud message- This time we're not going to stop.
I recognize that the American government has done some really really bad things in the past. America DOES step in and get into other countries and try to do things. These countries always have facts that protest and detest the US for this. But then, when the United States does nothing, they complain and protest then as well. In that sense, it's a lose/lose situation.
I believe that Bin Laden does need to be taken out, personally. If they find him, and are able to do him in, I hope they take him out on the spot.
@a.j.
Why shouldn't the American people be involved in our warfares? The American people were the ones that were attacked on 9/11- not the government. The people killed in the WTC were just your everyday people. The people in planes were everyday people. The American government didn't send the planes into the buildings. Even though those at the Pentegon were working for the government, they didn't ask to get attacked, and the American government definately didn't send the planes into the building.
No matter what the government does, it doesn't excuse the behavior of the terrorists, or give them any more of a right to have done what they did.
That would be like saying that because I didn't like the way someone treated me, I had a right to blow them to smitherines..
..
Just my opinion.. :)
