I'm not talking about like, women don't get paid as much as men, and women didn't get to vote until this century, I'm talking the everyday, the media, the people you know, what your mother tells you, what your father tells you, what you think and feel, I'm talking about the cultural "norms" what's acceptable? Is it acceptable to you? Is gender real? Should we follow the rules? Should we live up to the superficial ideals presented to us? Should women douche? (hah..had to throw that one in) Should women be a certain way? Should men be a certain way?

Yes, I am with Pintozo in his reference to the "shit," and that "shit" being messed up.
Everyday media tells us how to act... lmao, any of you fella's bothered flipping through a glamour magazine? he he, talk about brain washing.
...punch and pie</font?
Alright, time for the ladies to get in on this. I agree. The media does mess things up. I'm so sick of the double standards in this society!
They say that it's ok for a guy to be overweight, but not a girl. When a guy starts to get a little chunky, people say "Hey! Looks like we got a football player [or wrestler, or some other 'big guy' sport] on our hands!" When a guy wants to go back for seconds during dinner, it's "Let the boy eat! He's a growing boy! He needs energy!"
With girls, it's "You don't need to eat everything on your plate just because it's their," or "Ooh. You're getting a little bit of a tummy there. Why don't you go do some crunches and skip desert?"
And have you ever noticed, that girl's sizes range from a size 0 (XXS) to a size 13(XL) [if you're lucky!] in most stores. But guys sizes go from like L to XXXXL! What's up with that?
Man, I could go on for days. But if you read to this point, then I should consider myself very lucky, lol.

20 Unique 03...so funny!
I know what you're saying. Trust me I do. I know in our society thin is better, and Idon't meet that category.
Where I go to school people often make fun of people like that. I think that goes nation wide. 20_Unique_03 I totally agree with you girls are at the disadvantage, and there is a double standard.
You live in Roswell right? I live in Kennesaw.
"20 Unique 03... so funny!"
Gray-- thanks, I try, lol.
Freek403663-- Hey cool. And yes, I live in Roswell. I've been to Kennesaw before for this thing for drill team at KMHS. It was fun. Lol.
Lol, just today I was flipping through Seventeen (I had NOTHING else to read, someone handed me a 17 and said, here u can read this) and One girl wrote in saying she was disapointed with the pics of anorexic, white, blond girls, and 17 said basically, we're proud of our pics, deal with it, in more polite words.
i hate how they stereotype people in general, i hate stereotypes. i agree with u unique, very well said.
