If so, how has that affected your views after 9/11?
If not, how do you think it would if your best friend was from Afghanistan?
Or other comments relating to people of Middle Eastern descent in your lives or the lack there of.

I wish I knew other people - Afgani or Middle Eastern. I live in an area with NO diversity at all. I have never had any other friend than a white friend. I really hate it but there literally is no one other than white in the whole area where I live. I am very openminded, but it scares me that I havent had to opportunity to learn about other people's way of life. I will soon though - once I go off to college. I love learning and meeting people from other nations and cultures. I think I would have a little different view if my best friend was Afgani, but as I said, I am really openminded, and try to keep those ideas in mind anyway. :)

No, I do not know anyone from Afghanistan, but I do have many friends who are from their neighboring countries like Pakastan, Isreal, Egypt, etc.
