My feelings are about the same as anyone else's I suppose. The tragic event that occurred on the 11th of September was based on as evil act that could of been ceased if the possibility of any evidence had been known before would have stopped completely. The many lives that were lost will not be forgotten in the hearts of all their loved one' s. The anniverisy of the Terrorist attacks is fastly approaching nearer and nearer. I would like to see the person behind all the attacks 9-11 would show himself instead of being a coward that he is. Yes, I said a BIG OLD COWARD he is. The attacks have shown a new way to being a better person in today's society. Next week will mark the 7th anniversiery of the attacks that came unexpectingly.

My Feelings About Thee September 11,2001 Attack is have good and have bad.The Good Part is it has mad us our nation more joined together but it is bad that it took all of that for us to get alone. Now you see people with american flags stuff on there cars everything. The Bad part is we no longer have twin towers and millions of our people died.
I think that September 11th was an event that could have predicted and prevented. I mean Bush has lost ties with other countries and this was bound to happen. When America doesnt try to stay close with other countries than other countires will get mad. Even though Afghanistan as a whole didnt do these acts i still tihnk that Osama would have held out on the attacks if Bush were to help Afghanistan . I just really liked Clinton much better than Bush. But oh well thats Democracy for ya!
I feel that 9/11 has changed the world forever for the simple fact that the government does very little for middle eastern countries that provide so much for America. The world has changed emotionally and physically. What I mean by that is for example its going to be very hard to talk about what happened on Sept.11 for many people because of the lost of maybe a friend or family member. I don't know why the world is so against each other, if we worked together there would be a great difference! What I don't understand and think is so very immature is the hatred for Arab Americans, who had nothing to do with what occurred on 9/11. I don't understand how someone who is so well educated can be so ignorant!

What is truly terrifying is the extreme to which we have taken our patriotism. We now think of ourselves as a great nation, and our national tragedy has pulled more news stories than the AIDS epidemic in Africa, than the slave trade still existing, than the wrongdoings the U.S. has committed against so many, have together.
The U.S. has done a lot of good and many ills, just as any nation. I could go on forever ranting, but that won't do any good. We are, as a whole, a fortunate people and a fortunate nation.
I am sorry for all of the lives lost. I am sorry it took so much to wake people up. But I do not think people have waken up enough. We still don't value the democracy we're allowed to live in half as much as we should. We live here to be able to live with freedom. Yet most of us don't vote.
I love the U.S. for many things. I despise it for many others. But I love all people, any people. I am sorry for those who died and those who know any who died. But I am also sorry for those who killed them, and for the state the world has been driven to for things like this to happen.

Sorry that message was so long. Some of it was unclear. The world has always been in a state for things like that to happen. Why, look at the tanks Israel sends to bulldoze civilian homes in Palestine! Look at the suicide bombers who destroy, families, lives, and religion! We are, and always will be, in a state of entropy. We will always try to cope. I don't know what to think. Sorry. I am long winded.

Sept. 11th has had two seemingly opposite affects on America. First, it has made us far more aware of what is happening in the world today. We now see documentaries about Afghanistan and Iraq on the news magazines, instead of "Who killed [fill in name here]?" On the front page of local newspapers is no longer "City Cuts Road Budget", but "Sharon Says Israel At War". We are beginning to realize the state of affairs in the world today, and this brings to our attention the serious flaws in US foreign policy, and hopefully makes us more empathetic to people in other parts of the world. This is a very good sign.
But there is an equal amount of growing nationalism, intolerance, and misunderstanding in the US. Religious and political bigots have taken the flag that should belong to all of us, and made it into a symbol of oppression and violence, putting it alongside slogans like "Don't Mess With the US", and flying it over Camp Rhino in Kandahar, Afghanistan. One person suggested to me that we ought to "bomb those ****ers until there's a big ocean in the middle of Asia". It is also frequently expressed that, "America is the best damn nation on the face of the earth, and we don't care what happens to all those brown-faced losers in Africa and the Middle East." (I'm not quoting anyone specific, this just seems to be the general emotion among the more arrogant, self-centered Americans.)
It's too soon to tell which of these attitudes will prevail, but I'd say that with Dubya at the wheel we'll be heading down a lonely, winding, and bloody path.
