The violence in the school zones are rising atleast 90% a week. Even at my old homeschool, to them fights are in style for the new millinum!! They would love to make a girl feel bad by calling her names just by the way she dresses. Now the principal cannot protect this girl no matter what he says. She tells him everything, but wow!! Nothing happens. As you know this girl is me. The violence is unbelieable, that I have fear walking down the hallways. Will this ever end? It is up to us as teenagers to turn the future into a world not a poluted world that spins w/ scared children on it.
Almost a week ago a boy killed his principal cause he ran into his office to tell him what had happened. Someone had just stolen his lunch money and his wallet.(the same thing.) But the principal said," Boy stiff up youre back bone!!" So all that week he got kicked and pushed around. That friday he brung a pistol up to the school, and first he was going to hostage the whole school. But then he blamed the pricipal and shot him until he ran outta bullets. After that he put somemore bullets in his pistol and killed his self. Before he pulled the trigger his last words said," ARE YOU HAPPY!!! ARE YOU SATISFIED!! I HOPE SO NOW I WILL REST IN PEACE!!! I WILL, I WILL!!" As he shot himself in the chest the bullet went through his body and shot someother student , which later appeared to be his bully target. But the boy, Manely at the age of 16 is now in the hospital, he lived by a short chance. Now he is in a crazy building, suffering from memory lost.

Now how safe are the school zones? We need better support.

From the figures, you've given us, they don't seem to be very safe at all. But somehow, the 90% a week figure seems a little extraordinary. Personally, I think the fact is that there has always been violence in schools, and that there have always been those who are abused in every way.
What is disturbing is when kids have access to the means of murder. Not simply access to weapons, but the capability to commit murder. I would hope that it is due to some abnormal mental condition*, but that's not always the case. What kind of environment are the kids who have it in their potential to kill growing up in? What similar scenes have they been faced with? What has driven them to such an extreme?

*Though we can question -- what is a normal mental condition? Is a normal condition abnormal because there are so many abnormalities? ajfdlsa Iwanttotakeapsychologycourse!!!

I didnt hear about this on the news and i watch the news and listen to NPR all the time. I think that it is apart of how children are being raised these days. Most Children are evil. ( this is my opinion)In the third grade i waas ridiculed. I had been made fun of my whole life. It got to the point where i couldnt take it anymore and tried to take action into my own hands. I watched ABC World News with Peter Jennings and it wtalk about how AMericans are being more and more rude. You would think after 9/11 peopel would be more considerit and would care more. I think that it is the parents to blame .

I don't think we can blame anyone. How can it be that "Most Children are evil"? A child is growing, exploring, inexperienced. I'm a social outcast, put simply. But I don't feel anger at the world for it. Mainly I feel a self-deprecating anger, a rage at myself oftentimes. But this isn't the point.

I would like to ask you: What is evil?

When I say evil I mean that a whole lto fo kids are liek really mean. But I was also tryign to say that the parents have a big impact of how kids act. so when they are mean or "evil" they might not be aware of it becuase of what their parents have been putting on them.

I do believe it has, I mean our school was once a very safe place and since its a small town that made it even better, but at the beginning of february a tragedy happened and our star baseball player was brutally murdered. we always thought "it cant happen here" but guess what.. it did!! we are still shocked but have already dealt with the hardest part of it, and i feel for everyone else who has went through such a tragedy! the world is turning pretty evil and its very scary that my kids may have to grow up in this kind of world!!

That is really disturbing. In our town, we just had the strangest week of coincidental tragedy. A college freshman or junior who lived and attended our high school was in New Hampshire. There was a fight, and he tried to stop it. He got stabbed and killed. A group of friends and family who went up there when they found out got into a car crash, and a high schooler was killed. Then a teacher at the high school died of cancer, and a middle school teacher died of breast cancer. It is most creepy, though, how very little was said. At school, they only had an announcement about it two days after the fact. Then they said: "I think we all know what happened. Would you please sit for a moment of silence." It was so strange! Only the kids seemed open to talk about it. Everyone else avoids the subject and the subject of death.
