This is ridiculous. "Four Canadian Troops Die From U.S. Bombs" was on the front page of my newspaper. 8 wounded, too. And there was more before too... an American soldier got shot in the head by an American bullet. Beyond all else, I want this war to stop, and when these sorts of things happen, I begin to wonder, why does this war continue? Why is it that so many countries are sending men and women to risk their lives and kill others? Wouldn't you think that we've advanced far enough as a race to do away with barbaric practices as revenge and killing one another?

Oh, yeah I completely agree with your last statement cri.
It is truly ridiculous that even today we are using the same means of "solving" problems as "we" did thousands of years ago.
It's really too bad that people on this planet can't understand the value of another life, and how much it is more important then scrupulous greed for power, materialistic resources, land or even something as religion. I am not saying give that up, but at least let's not try and impose it on others. If you want it, then earn it, but not through other people's pain and/or suffering.
And you know, I truly can't answer your question as to why those countries (including US) is making all those human lives be sent into a conflict that brings truly no peaceful resolve, but a negative one. For, wouldn't you think that in order to obtain peace, we have to first practice it. NO, instead we are waging the exact opposite, which is WAR. It's really not that complicated, and whoever says oh yeah it is, no I think not. Because in my eyes no matter what the race, color, religion, nationality, or the mentality that someone obtains, they are still a human being that deserves an equal chance at life, no matter how different our views may be or beliefs may vary.
See, that's why I don't associate with being patriotic within this country. For, all they have done truly is add fuel to an already flaming fire. Yeah, ok, so Collin Powell did some speaking this week;;;oh and we all saw how that helped(sarcastically said);blah blah blah that's all it was. If he is so confident in what US is doing, then why doesn't he send off his son to Palestine to fight? Oh, no, no way will that ever happen, Well yeah of course not, because all this society seems to think about is themselves and people that they know personally, everyone else can just mind their own business or do what I can't do and know deep down it's not right, for me and "I" don't care how it effects them, as long as I get what I want. My god, what has this society been diminished to. We have come to call ourselves Americans, Muslim, Terrorists... etc. All those labels are just going to tear us even more apart. What we need to look at is the whole population of the world and not limit it to this and that people. NO, we are all human beings that deserve an equal chance at at least trying to accomplish something well. SO, yeah I understand why Afghanistan was mad at US. I would be too. For, here we are on the other side of the ocean living in more than enough of luxury, and they are over there starving and living in caves. Yeah, that's the hard truth and reality that US won't face. They seem to love to jump at an opportunity to become an authority to other countries by choosing sides, and what's even worse is that they paint this black and white picture to the Americans who then like robots except everything their tv tells them. Ugh, it's just sad that it's that way.
Instead US needs to either mind their own business(although I don't think that that will help), or they need to try and help both parties or how ever many may be involved within the conflict.
Ok,well I already talked too much and have probably repeated myself a few times, so I better stop now while I don't have anything else coming into my mind at the moment..... oh yeah I forgot to tell you ...... LOL;j/k
bye all
and thanks for reading(although I doubt that any of you did, the moment you saw how long it was;lol c ya)
